Another one of the million+ reasons we love this breed . . .

"Yes, I was planning on keeping the littlest girl, sweetest puppy in the world, our precious little survivor who needed private feedings every couple of hours, and who, due to a slight birth defect, is unlikely to ever grow to full size. But then, Jen Stastny told me of a family in Texas who wanted (perhaps needed) a puppy. Our little survivor went to the Miller family, to three sisters who are all survivors of the flooding at Camp Mystic. Now known as Betty, this puppy is so surrounded by love, and I'm certain that she's going to have a beautiful life with the Millers and their 6-year-old English setter, Charlotte.

The most difficult puppy to part with is also the one whose placement warms my heart exponentially. Dear Betty and your young caretakers, I wish each of you a long, full, joyous life in which you know every single day that you are loved without measure."
