CLUB OBJECTIVES

To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred English setters and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;

To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which the English setter shall be judged; (https://www.esaa.com/english-setters/breed-standard)

To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, hunt tests, and field trials;

To conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, hunt tests, and field trials under the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club
CLUB MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Three main types of membership are open to all persons 18 years of age and older who are in good standing with The American Kennel Club, The English Setter Association of America (if a member), and who subscribe to the purposes of this club:

Individual;

Household - each household member residing in the same house over eighteen years of age being entitled to one vote;

Associate - members enjoy all privileges of the Club except the right to vote and hold office;

Junior Membership - available to individuals under the age of eighteen at their last birthday, NON-voting
CLUB DUES
Membership dues are set by the Board of Directors annually with the membership cycle running from January 1st - December 31st. Members whose dues are not current may NOT vote on club matters. The Treasurer will send member statements in November of dues for the ensuing year.
Per SECTION 3. - CONSTITUTION- The Club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder of residue from dues or donations to the Club shall insure to the benefit of any member or individual.
