What a way to celebrate the 100th year of AKC field trials, held Nov 11-Nov 15 at the site where it all began, YES, 100 years ago. We had a stellar National Walking Gun Dog Championship today. Of the four dogs we ran, three got around. Lance was Runner Up, and Timber was third. The old dog had an enjoyable run and came home with an Award of Merit at 11 1/2 years old.

Lance just won the National Amateur Field Championship today to finish his Dual Championship making him #23

Feeling so very grateful that the lord put Gracie in our lap, even though we were not looking . Gracie was a handful for her first two owners and when she was offered to us I convinced my dear wife that the only safe place was with us! So, 2 short years later she has now won a national championship! I Could have never imagined it …

Thanks to our judges Stacey Goodie & David Michael’s for given her this win ! And I can’t forget my trusty scout Rhonda Cornum for location of the white dog just off the breakaway standing birds where none had been found all day and for giving Gracie a spa day for the picture. What an exciting week for all the setter world, so grateful to be a part of it!
